Opportunity

Reporting to and in close partnership with the Board, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will have full P&L responsibility and manage the day-to-day sales/business development operations of the business with a focus on creating equity value. The CEO will have the aptitude to be both strategic and hands-on with proven success in optimizing a scalable distribution business, while driving and managing strong topline growth and increased profitability. This role requires a high-energy, focused multi-site leader with deep B2B sales experience (preferably in wholesale building products) who can manage through metrics and KPIs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to improve revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Meet with key customers to establish relationships
  • Directly generate new partnerships with independent retailers
  • Develop and implement KPIs to track sales and operational performance
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to the board, providing strategic insights and recommendations
  • Lead, motivate, and support the sales, marketing, warehousing, and transportation (trucking fleet) departments
  • Drive add-on acquisition evaluation and integration efforts
  • Execute de novo expansion strategy including the buildout of new distribution centers throughout the southeast
  • Collaborate with the President on materials sourcing and purchasing
  • Develop annual budget, in collaboration with the VP of Finance, and manage day-to-day operations to annual budget
  • Establish best practices and standard operating procedures


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/operations management/marketing or related, MBA or Master’s degree is a plus
  • Proven record of executive level leadership within the wholesale distribution industry, ideally building products
  • Prior success developing strategy and leading business evolution with sustained positive P&L impact
  • Resides in South Florida or serious about relocation (relocation assistance offered) with ability to travel frequently
  • Hands-on leader with a high level of EQ “people/culture centric mindset”
  • Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams across multiple locations
  • Private Equity sponsor experience is highly valued
  • Bilingual - Spanish is a plus
