Portfolio Controller
Opportunity
As a member of Boyne, the Interim Portfolio Controller/CFO will manage accounting/finance, tax, and treasury at the portfolio-level until a permanent hire is identified and onboarded. In this role, you may also serve as a supplemental resource to the portfolio management teams in executing key strategic projects. To be successful, you must excel in taking a hands-on approach to managing and prioritizing multiple projects to maximize value creation across a broad range of industries.
Responsibilities may include
Manage the accounting function including tax and treasury
Evaluate/establish policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
Assist in the development of strategic initiatives
Develop/execute the monthly close process
Produce and deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports and complete weekly flash/KPI dashboard
Drive/participate in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the annual capital and operating budget
Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance
Support the integration of add on acquisitions
Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
Coordinate activities with external auditors
Effectively transition and onboard the Controller/VP of Finance/CFO
Requirements
BA/BS in Business, Accounting
Minimum of 3-4+ years of audit experience at a national public accounting firm, Big 4 preferred
3+ years in a Controller or similar capacity
Ability to travel 25% of the time
Experience in the lower-middle market is essential
Active CPA preferred
Experience in a private equity sponsored environment is valued
